How to create a Circle

Click the Circles tab
Click the Create Circle tab

Step1
Select a category
Select a subcategory
Select the location and enter the zip code. (The zip code is optional, but helps users by knowing the approx distance)
Select Membership type
Public: Anyone can view and join
Moderated: People can request to be added to the club. The moderator is the owner.
Private: Only people invited even know this club exist
Type the URL you want to use. (It should be something recognizable that you can tell another person. Do not use special characters or spaces)
Enter the start date and time
Enter a title (should be eye catching)
Provide a brief description
The full description should have details and pictures if applicable.

Step2
Decide on the template you want to use for your Circle
The blank template allows you to completely customize the layout of your Circle (HTML knowledge required)
All templates allow you to change the color
Click next

Step3
Select the colors you want to use in your Circle ad. Use the preview button to see changes before committing to them.
Click next

Step4
Upload a picture
Click create to create your Circle

How to create a blog

First some of you may ask what's a blog, and why do I want one? Well a blog is an online journal. You can put whatever you want in it from pictures, text, or links. These are good for updating friends about what’s happening in your life, business, family, etc.

Step 1
From the home page (the page you see when you log in) Click the blogs tab
When the blog page shows up, you will see tab another tab below that says Create Blog
Click Create Blog

Step 2
Select your audience.
Everyone: Anyone can view this blog
Friends: People that have signed up and are in your friends group can view
2-4 handshakes away: Your friend’s friends can view. (ex 4 handshakes would be your friend’s, friend’s, friend’s, friends)
Name your Blog URL
Enter the name you want to give to others in order to find your blog. (there should be no spaces or special characters)
Title: The Title of your blog
Description: A short message on what your blog is about.
Click next

Step 3
Decide on the template you want to use for your blog
The blank template allows you to completely customize the layout of your blog (HTML knowledge required)
All templates allow you to change the colors
Click next

Step 4
Select the colors you want to use in your blog. Use the preview button to see changes before committing to them.
Click Create to create your blog

Adding a blog post

(optional) Select a photo if you want. You may set this photo as the main blog photo (optional)

Select the title of the post. ( I use the date if I can’t think of a good title)

Type your blog entry in the post message section.
You may add additional images here by using the image insert button (It looks like a little tree)

Click POST

ADVICE

It's often a good idea to write your post in NOTEPAD or something FIRST, so you have another copy of it, just in case something goes wrong in the blog. Sometimes it's possible for an internet connection to misfire, or a script to error, or any other little bugs that are common to this technology. So to avoid having to rewrite your blog from the beginning, write it somewhere else FIRST, save it, THEN copy & Paste it into your blog post window.

Reading & Sharing Your Blog

Use the URL you created above to SHARE your blog with others (example: http://mss.spirituallivingnetwork.com/blogs/myblog).

To read your blog, or check for visitor comments. click BLOGS in the main nav bar, then MY BLOGS in the sub nav bar. Click the TITLE of the blog you want to read.

Editing your Blog

Notice something you want to change, after you've posted? EASY to fix!

Click on BLOGS, then MY BLOGS, then click the EDIT link beside the blog you want to fix. You'll get the setup screen, where you can change blog name, colours, etc. AND a listing of your posts. There is an EDIT link beside each POST if you need to make changes to a specific post.

ALWAYS click the UPDATE BUTTON or SAVE BUTTON to save your changes
