This is a remarkable book. Written in 1998 by Carol Adrienne, author of the Celestine Prophecy: an Experiential Guide, this book clearly talks about your purpose in terms of a spiritual reality. Carol's book is filled with gem phrases like: We are born to be directors of energy. We are born to create. Some things we create without much consciousness. Some things we create very intentionally. Her view on life purpose is different than those you'll learn in most seminars and I think it is a most profound and most valuable one. Read the book and decide for yourself. I wish you well. I first sat with the author, Warren Redman, as he was telling me about his latest book project, Recipes for Inner Peace. He was very excited...and, I''m sure he still is...about combining his passion for helping people balance their lives and his passion for cooking, or, at least, eating! This book, Recipes for Inner Peace, might be a surprise for you. It was for me. Not only is every word a wise word, it is beautifully presented visually. AND, there are the amazing actual real food recipes! I particularly like Warren Redman''s ''Lifescale'' and what he does with it. (See page 47.) This book is filled with wisdom, beautifully presented in life stories and gentle guidance. Warren''s loving presence and dedication to balance, peace and equilibrium is clear and we benefit from it immediately through this remarkable book. This is a wonderful book to give to those you love. Enjoy! Rhoberta

A treasury of inspirational stories, quotes and messages from spiritual teachers, essayists, filmmakers, poets, novelists and social activists that talk about the spirituality in daily life. This is an excellent gift book...as are my books, Optimize Your Day: Practical Wisdom for Optimal Living http://www.optimizeyourday.com/ and others. What I particularly like about this book is that it is well-indexed if I am looking for something specific and a great read when I want to lose myself in it. Buy this book as a gift to and for yourself. Optimize Your Day! Rhoberta

What I like most about this book is the very succinct distinction between power and force. It is much more than semantics. As it says in the introduction: "Man thinks he lives by virtue of the forces he can control, but in fact, he''s governed by power from unrevealed sources, power over which he has no control."
Even if Dr. David Hawkins'' calibration of ''relative truth'' through kenesiology results seems questionable, I believe the ideas are invaluable and stated in ways that clarified my thinking. The book contains much wisdom and gems like this are tucked away throughout: "Ignorance does not yield to attack, but it dissipates in the light, and nothing dissolves dishonesty faster than the simple act of revealing the truth."
The book is very easy to read. Enjoy! Many blessings, Rhoberta

I think this is a wonderful book. Why? Because it includes so many wise snippets taken from published and unpublished writings and lectures all thoughtfully assembled by Reverend Jesse Jennings. Here you get an excellent sense of Ernest Holmes and the intent of his teachings. As this book was released in2002, it is very current in the questions it addresses and the answers Ernest Holmes offered. It is a very good beginning place if you find the Science of Mind Text too daunting because of its size. Remember, too, Ernest wrote the Science of Mind Text very early in his life. His thinking expanded as his understand grew. Much of that is evident in this book. Read it. Highlight it. We'll soon have a study group by telephone for Spiritual Living Network members and we will get to this one...and you don''t want to miss it! Many blessings, Rhoberta

The Master Key to Riches is an excellent addition to any reading on increasing your success. Although many people think of money when they read "riches", this is an excellent primer and reminder about the focus, clarity and strategies best used to live an abundant life. Even though this book has been around for a while, you'll get so much value from it immediately that it outshines some of the more recent additions to the prosperity literature. Enjoy! Rhoberta

Once I found this book in its original edition in the library. I took it out and renewed it repeatedly until the library said, "No more!" It''s that good. The Sixteen Laws of Success expanded on in this work are the foundation of all the Napoleon Hill had to say. Everything is contained here although his other books...in particular, The Master Key to Riches also added below...is definitely worth reading. Add these to your library right away. Many blessings, Rhoberta

This is the basic text used in all Religious Science classes and centers. Written by the founder of Religious Science, Ernest Holmes, it contains the result of Holmes'' research and synthesis of great spiritual principles, how they work and how to use them. Although large and somewhat daunting, this book is well-worth your time to read. You need the foundation this book provides to fully understand the Science of Mind concepts. Step up fearlessly...and read this book! This is the kind of book you are always reading. Mine is an original edition from 1938 and I've had it for thirty years. The binding is still intact and there are six colors of highlighter. Each time I read it, I swear Ernest Holmes got in there the night before and added a valuable insight! This book is filled with "Ah-ha!" moments. Rhoberta

This book by Lewis Richmond almost fell off the shelf for me in a small bookstore. I''m so glad that it did. Based on Buddhist thoughts and spiritual practices, it integrates so many areas of life that need consideration--integrity, relationships, focus, failure, boredom, money, and more. I particularly like his metaphor when writing about "control" "Think of how you "control" a kite. The wind moves the kite, but you hold the string. You don''t let go of the kite, but you don''t hold it close to your chest either. You let it soar. Without you, the kite can''t fly. But you don''t tell it where to go. You, the wind, and the kite are one. Controlling by Paying Attention means throwing yourself all the way into the situation and trusting yourself and others enough to let the wind do most of the work. Without some wisdom in our efforts to exercise control, we end up like so many managers and bosses in the workplace, resorting to rank and status to get our way with others. This book is well-worth your time to read...een if you don''t work. Enjoy! Rhoberta

This is a foundational book for me. I've read it so many times I've lost count. It is highlighted in many colors, underlined and starred. That's the mark of a "best" book for me. Eric Butterworth gives clear distinctions about prosperity and how we create and attract it. What I value is that he does this in a practical way, a "no magic" way. He says: "All that is required is that you keep yourself centered in the creative flow, keep in tune through positive thoughts, keep responsive by your faith, and, as Thoreau would say: Keep moving in the direction of your dreams." You might be thinking "all" this is required. He makes it sounds so simple. Rest assured, he carefully takes you through the thoughts, actions, steps and learning to make that quote closer to a reality. Enjoy this book soon. Rhoberta
